2008 Trip to Korea

UPT Header

UPT then continued on to Jeonju where for ten days they endured a rigorous training camp with the Jeonju University team. Training twice a day for 2˝ hours each time, also with some visiting teams. Varied and different tasks were set and met by the team head on with oppressive heat the whole time we were there it made the training exceptionally difficult especially the track work day. Our players surprised the Korean team with their drive and dedication and a few even surprised themselves. Well done by all.

The Girls at the Openning Parade

United Pro did well in the 2nd Taekwondo World Cultural Festival held in Muju South Korea. Taking eight players for this tournament we had quite a few medals attaining 3 Bronze, 1 Silver and 3 Gold. For many players this was there first time overseas and they all rose to the occasion, well done to all players and especially our coach. Thank you Marwan for a excellent result.

The team then went to Seoul for a few days shopping, hitting the markets at Dondemon with a vengeance, this made the trip home with luggage interesting. Á quick trip to the home of Taekwondo “The Kukkiwon” for some site seeing then off to the local TKD suppliers where all got some great deals on uniforms and equipment. All round a great trip even with some interesting accommodation, food and events.
